De lijst met foutcodes in auto&#8217;s is een belangrijk hulpmiddel om verschillende onregelmatigheden en\/of problemen in de verschillende voertuigsystemen op te sporen. Bijvoorbeeld in de motor, het uitlaatsysteem, de remmen en nog veel meer. Een andere naam voor de codelijst is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) of Delphi-foutcodetabel. Deze lijst bestaat uit meer dan 230 foutcodes, die op hun beurt uit letters en cijfers bestaan. De eerste OBD-foutcodetabel werd in 1965 door Volkswagen ontwikkeld. De toenmalige automodellen waren voor het eerst uitgerust met centrale aansluitingen, waarmee storingen met behulp van ponskaarten en de bijbehorende codetabel konden worden ge\u00efdentificeerd. Sinds begin 2000 is de OBD2-foutcodelijst verplicht voor alle in Europa geproduceerde automodellen.<\/p>\n<p>Hierin schuilt ook het verschil tussen de OBD- en de OBD2-foutcodetabel. De OBD2-codes zijn gestandaardiseerd, waardoor u veel gemakkelijker de oorzaak van foutmeldingen kunt achterhalen. In Europa worden de OBD2-foutcodes voor auto&#8217;s samengevat in de EOBD-tabel. Er dient echter opgemerkt te worden dat EOBD weliswaar geen offici\u00eble term is, maar dat deze toch door veel Europese voertuigfabrikanten wordt gebruikt.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hoe_de_tabel_met_voertuigfoutcodes_werkt\"><\/span>Hoe de tabel met voertuigfoutcodes werkt<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Zodra de boordcomputer van de auto een probleem registreert, gaan de bijbehorende waarschuwingslampjes (bijvoorbeeld het lampje &#8216;Check Engine&#8217;) op het dashboard branden. In dat geval dient u onmiddellijk contact op te nemen met een gespecialiseerde werkplaats. Daar wordt de boordcomputer via een interface uitgelezen. De boordcomputer genereert voor elke systeemfout een code, die vervolgens wordt uitgesplitst met behulp van de OBD2-foutcodelijst.<\/p>\n<p>Het maakt niet uit of de storing zich voordoet in de aandrijflijn, de carrosserie, het remsysteem, de transmissie, het uitlaatsysteem of ergens anders in de auto. De OBD kan namelijk een gedetailleerde conditiebeoordeling uitvoeren voor vrijwel elk onderdeel van de auto.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Uitsplitsing_van_de_OBD-foutcodetabel\"><\/span>Uitsplitsing van de OBD-foutcodetabel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Als u de lijst met OBD-foutcodes bekijkt, ziet u vier verschillende codecategorie\u00ebn:\u00a0<b>P\u00a0<\/b>(aandrijflijn),\u00a0<b>U\u00a0<\/b>(netwerk),\u00a0<b>B\u00a0<\/b>(carrosserie) en\u00a0<b>C\u00a0<\/b>(chassis).<\/p>\n<p>Deze\u00a0<b>vier letters vormen het begin\u00a0<\/b>van elke foutcode in de OBD2-tabel.<\/p>\n<p>Hierna volgt\u00a0<b>het eerste cijfer<\/b>, dat altijd een 0 of een 1 is. De nul geeft een algemeen probleem aan (bijvoorbeeld natuurlijke slijtage van auto-onderdelen). De ene geeft dealerspecifieke codes of storingen aan.<\/p>\n<p>Hierna volgen\u00a0<b>nog drie getallen\u00a0<\/b>die het ge\u00efdentificeerde probleem aangeven en naar de specifieke informatie leiden.<\/p>\n<p>Een voorbeeld is OBD-foutcode P0420, die aangeeft dat er een probleem is met de katalysator van het voertuig. De exacte oorzaak is echter niet bekend en moet door middel van een uitgebreide OBD-scan en\/of mechanische ingrepen in een gespecialiseerde werkplaats worden achterhaald.<\/p>\n<p><b>Belangrijk:\u00a0<\/b>De foutcodes worden uitgelezen en ge\u00ebvalueerd met behulp van speciale apparaten en apps. Deze procedure mag uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd door professionele automechatronicatechnici.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Controleer_altijd_de_OBD-foutcodes_van_uw_auto\"><\/span>Controleer altijd de OBD-foutcodes van uw auto!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Als de waarschuwingslampjes in de auto gaan branden met de bijbehorende OBD2-foutcode, is dit een duidelijk signaal dat u de auto onmiddellijk naar een specialist moet brengen.
